Ireland’s top 18 burgers
The Real Burger| Killorglin Restaurant | Best Burger In Ireland
Tucked away in a quiet little side street of the picturesque town of Killorglin you would never expect to find Ireland’s top anything. However, inside a neat little restaurant aptly named “Real Burger” you will find one of Ireland’s best. Real Burger was recently crowned one of Ireland’s top 18 burgers by Ireland’s popular media outlet The Daily Edge
Burgers, like anything, are easy to do but hard to master. I myself have sampled Real Burger’s offering and it is really an experience. Using only locally sourced fresh ingredients, the beef comes from their own farm just 4 miles from the restaurant.
It seems like the owners of this Killorglin Restaurant have found the secret to having one of Ireland’s top 18 burgers. An experience that one might even call burger porn.
“We love our food – and we really love our Burgers – we used to make home-made burgers every Saturday as kids growing up – so opening a burger business was a natural step” Garrath Sheehan, explains how the Killorglin Restaurant was established in 2008
Being crowned the top of any list is never easy. It came as a nice surprise to Garrath. “Delighted – but totally surprised – he wasn’t aware of the existence of the best burger in Ireland list – one of our customers spotted it on-line and contacted me – a brilliant acknowledgement for all the hard work by my family; my father James who rears the cattle on the farm and my brother Jesse who is brilliant in the kitchen.
Delighted too for our loyal customers who have supported us for the past few years – at least they know they are getting one of Ireland’s top 18 burgers when they call into us.” Being on any list of Ireland’s best burgers is no mean feat.
“My favourite burger at the moment is the Hawaiian Burger, cheese, bacon & pineapple it’s awesome (I add a bit of beetroot too) but that changes from month to month, as we are always coming up with new burgers & new ideas. Last month our special was Le Crunch, sautéed sweet pepper and onion, melted Gouda cheese, drizzled with BBQ relish and topped off with a crunchy onion ring – gorgeous burger – such different flavours – my brother Jesse is so creative in the kitchen.”
Real Burger continues to marry variety and good beef from their farm.
